Wow!
That is a beautiful collection of automobiles!
I could spend all day in a museum like that. I love pre-war and, especially, brass-era cars.
Looks like it was a fun trip!

Thanks for sharing!

Likewise, I like them too. It's nice to see how far the automobile has come over the years. And respect for the museum for saving these cars so the next generation to enjoy. Though I see people are losing interest in the very old cars. Such a shame.

10 WRX. Did an exhaust repair/upgrade. It has high flow cats, one is busted, and 3" to the rear end. Then 2" Y to the tips. We made the Y into 2 1/2 and the converter will be repaired at a later time.

Cleaned the valve covers and painted them. But we'll most likely replace them. Dad thinks they are off a 360, and yes there's a difference, apparently.

Ordered a factory engine bolt kit. Why? Engine has more in it than planned. So, might as well do it right.
I know the thread isn't seeing much action. Everyone's toys are up for the winter. So, basically the thread will be about the Challenger's restoration. Until it's spring and the toys come back out.

Yeah, there's a few returning next month. And I'll just use this thread for the 3Vs builds. Hopefully, I'll have a short throw and Axlebacks by spring.

14 F150 Ecoboost FX4. Muffler swap, flow-pro (flowmaster copy, 40 series). I've always be impressed with what they did with that little twin turbo V6. And with the muffler swap it doesn't sound that bad. Sounds better than I imagined it would. Plus the truck looks great in Oxford White.

Minus the brackets and a few other minor things. New filter is coming, $118 retail. A lot of money for a frigging air filter. Then we'll be making a fuel line for the intake system. Exhaust manifolds will be refinished. Should be completely done by new year.

03 Impala. Another nice and well kept car. Just in for a service and "winter check." Bought new and still looks like it was finished on the assembly line yesterday. Miles are 55,891. Really nice car.
My 4,000 post. 😊

09 XF Supercharged. Came in for a second opinion on rear end noise. Turns out a wheel bearing is bad. Car has a very nice interior. Exterior it's just as nice. It's a 4.2L V8 390HP. It'll be here tomorrow to get it replaced. It's definitely a step up from our 05 S-type R. Nice piece.

Thanks.
It's louder than I thought it would be. Then again cold start in doors. Not obnoxious, yet. Longtubes, off-road H, and cams will probably beg to differ.
I sent a video to the previous owner, he loves it. Next time he sees it at our shop we'll do an in person example.

Looks good. It will sound really good with the off road mid pipe. What exhaust do you have on your Roush? Do a side by side exhaust clip, lol.

I assume you still have your Roush, I must have missed when you got this one?

Thanks.
I still have it. It's in my neighbor's garage. I have Roush extreme axelbacks on it. Bought the GT December 17. I think we can make that happen some time. Unfortunately, YouTube and my phone don't get along. Plus I'm trying to find something else to record the exhaust on. My iPhone mic make the cars sound terrible compared to in person.

64 Impala SS. As you can see we did a full exhaust system. The car is still a restoration in progress and is looking excellent. 327 and it sounded great. The chrome and the yellow look awesome. Has the usual Rallye wheels, but that's not a bad thing. More like the norm. Looking forward to seeing it at shows in the spring. Very nice piece.

Interesting to see how much the Impala changed in only one year. Comparing 64 to 65 is what I mean.

13 Audi S5 Quattro. We replaced some damaged shields under the car. Also changed the wheels and tires, back to stock. It has a 3.0L supercharged V6 rated at 335hp, not bad at all. The interior quality is outstanding. Red and black leather with hints of brushed aluminum and carbon fiber everywhere. It is very comfortable and easy to drive. Definitely a really cool car. Nice piece.

Adventure till you drop.

TGR's Garage...

The intake system for those supercharged V6s hate me. You have to take the intake tube off to unhook and twist off the air filter in the CAI. It demands several colorful four letter words and patience to not break anything. Very similar to safety caps on prescription drugs. Believe me it's easy to break something while doing it.
And guess who's the only one who gets to work it; when they come in for service.

I'd love to have an Audi one day, such sweet cars. Take it over a BMW or Mercedes Benz anyday.
