Thanks. The 96 has much more done to it mod wise since Ive had it for almost 5 yrs now. Its lowered with H&R Supersport springs, Tokico HP struts, Koni STR.T shocks, Maximum Motorsports CC plates, MM poly isolators, BBK off road X midpipe ( I dont love it but got it slightly used for less than 1/2 price of a new one ), Magnaflow Magnapack mufflers welded in, MGP caliper covers, Anthracite Bullit staggerd wheels/ tires 17x9/17x10, Ford Racing 410 gears, aftermarket JVC headunit and Pioneer speakers, Cobra "style" chrome headlights, and a bunch of newer maintenance parts on the wearables. Sorry Im a lister, otherwise I forgot what Ive even done over the years, sure Im forgetting something. The 03 is new to me obviosuly so it will take some time to get it the way I want it. But yeah once spring hits here I plan on lowering the 03, wheels/tires, mid pipe (o/r H, has Flowmaster 40s welded in now as well, from previous owner), to start with anyway then go from there. But Im looking forward to a couple good weather photo shoots.

Yeah that 96 looks great. So does the 03, but the 96 has the coolness factor down pat. It's easy to forget what you've done in that amount of time. Plus a lot of things can happen during that time.

Thanks. Aint that the truth?? 5 yrs can be a whirlwind, a lot actually has happened for me, mostly all good, lol. I know the 94-98 Mustangs arent the most desirable at all, not to me either just worked out that way for me. Anyway, I think you can still make them look good by doing certain things. Now I need to concentrate more on performance with it. The 03 is a nice clean unmolested driver, good platform to start with. I wanted a New Edge when I got the 96, but couldnt pass the deal up at the time, so since then Ive been looking for a clean lower mileage NE, and priced right too of course. Finanly popped up about a month ago and I got a good deal on it.

I'd rock one of them. 95 cobra with a 347 fuelie stroker. H/C/I/E. TKO and 4.10s. Full suspension. FR500 wheels. That'd be frigging sweet.
I'm a lister too. It really does help, with remembering junk. I've been meaning to get notebooks and get everything down for the cars. Did that for the Roush. Since day one and mileage.

Every day is a joyride.

Thats a good idea for resale too, document it all. I have a folder for the 96 but its not real organized yet. The 03 came with a nice folder and everything documented which was really nice, and told me everything he was saying was the truth and accurate. I know it helped me to make my decision so it would for someone else too Im sure.

Definitely a good thing to know. I don't know the exact details but I know most of the prices on the cars. Plus we have invoices for all the cars at the shop, that have most of the parts on them.

Awesome how long was the install for you being a mechanic? I've read it's an hr to two hr job is that accurate? Obviously I've not done this before so I'm curious about how entailed it'll be.

Sounds about right. I did it on a lift, but broke a bolt due to over tightening. Ford wouldn't sell me the bracket the bolt was made to, alone. Had to buy a complete shifter to get it. So F that. Cut then welded a bolt on and shifts great. I've got mine pretty tight. A little stiff going into gear; which is what I wanted.
I was going to put a MGW in the Roush when I get the 6 speed but now it's getting a Hurst.

Every day is a joyride.

Ok so what I'm getting is you over tightened said bolt and when you lowered the car off the lift is when it broke or you simply over tightened it to begin with and snapped the bolt while on your ratchet?

Did a final check before lowering the car. Just to make sure everything was tight. And when I went to snug it a little bit more it broke. It was already tight but thought just a little bit more. Apparently, it was too much.

16 GT/CS. Went to Ford to have an airbag replaced in the GT. Wasn't happy about it, but a friend attended and he had his go to guy do the replacement. So, figured I'd go see what's in the showroom. Glad to see the California Special made it to the sixth gen. It wasn't as high as I thought it'd be. $44k.

Did you start the paperwork on it? Its sad when $44k isnt bad. I know thats actually a good price for the performance they provide but its just scary to me that things are so damn expensive now. I feel old.

Just the window sticker price. There's a red one outside with the same grill but it's chrome. You can't really see it but there's stripes on the cowl hood. The deep impact blue hides the graphics.

$41k for the CS is much better. The fading stripes are on the 13-14's as well.
