Some people would get a shelby, a lambo, or a ferrari if they won the lotto. I'll get a silver raptor with matte black decals

TGR's garage/car shows and events...

I like them, I'd be interested in putting the 6.2 in a mustang. Lotto buys, I'd definitely buy the Porsche from my dad, then favorite muscle car, 71 HEMI Cuda. But not a fan of lambos that are newer than 2000, so. Ferraris are alright, and shelby, definitely a series 1 supercharged...

Late 90s Silverado. Mods are too many to list so, I'll tell you the ones you don't see. It has a hardwood floor bed, custom painted engine bay matching the bottom tone of the two tone paint job. Interior is a special two tone leather with custom digital instrument cluster. Now I'm might get some of it wrong, it's literally the most modded vehicle I've seen, even surpassing pops Porsche, which is saying something. Came in over year ago for some exhaust work. Known the owner for a long time and finally saw the truck. I'm not a truck person but this is the nicest truck I've ever seen...
Looking through my photos on my phone and saw the picture. So, I decided to post it. When I see the truck again I'll get a better mod list...

66 C10 on an custom S10 frame and drivetrain. Came in for exhaust work has the S10 4.3L V6 in it. It's a really good looking rat rod. Sits very low and still in progress. Sounded pretty decent, but I think a cam upgrade would do wonders. All in all nice truck...

Since we are sweeping stuff under the rug you might as well delete these posts also. Wouldn't want ole recon to get in trouble after the person who owns this car finds out he was posting pics of it up on the Internet.

my fathers dodge ram 2500 has been acting up lately. it overheated about a month ago and ever since its been pretty ****ty. it has all the symptoms of a leaking head gasket. it never starts on first try which led us to replace a starer which have may been for n reason. but im wondering if you know anything about the head gasket seleant and if it really works? labor for head gasket repair was about $1100. but i want to diy with the sealant, before spending tha much on a repair. if it does work for how long does it usually work? thanks

TGR's garage/car shows and events...

As requested from some users. This a comparison of the slantnose widebody Porsche (white) and a genuine Slantnose (red). Both have body mods. This for comparing purposes only, not for criticism. Starting now any negative or criticizing posts will be deleted on this thread. If you don't like the cars then KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. If you do then feel free to add a comment. Here are the pictures.

Red car mods front air dam (body piece below black trim piece)
Larger wing from a 934 race car
White car mods widebody kit and slantnose conversion kit, fender flares and rear wing. After I inspected the car closer it seems only the doors are period correct. That doesn't include the door mirrors, most likely from a 90s 964. And tail lights seem to be from a 80s 930.

Did a shop tell you that it was a head gasket leaking? And when it overheated, I need some more details to assist you. Did you pull over and shut it off? Did you continue driving it, with it over heating? How much antifreeze is currently in the vehicle? Has anyone preformed a pressure test on your truck?
Also give me the info on your truck year, engine with engine code in the vin, and if it's 4x4.

^ this. Park it or take it to your reputable shop. When we get head gasket jobs we always send the head to a machine shop. We take no chances on it.

I'm off work at the moment. When I get there tomorrow, I'll give you better details on the job. I can supply "how to," and estimated labor time. If you are willing to wait tomorrow. I will even take photos from my data site for you. I'm not 100% sure I can email it; since it's a site that requires payment.

09 G35. Came in for a brake grinding noise. After a test drive and inspection, we replaced the rear pads and rotors. Problem solved. As some may know I'm not a big Jap car enthusiast. I would own one of these if I found the right one. Based on the sound of the engine, I think it has the 350/370Z engine in it. I owned a 03-04 350Z and I'd take this over it any day. Very nice car, it can definitely pass as a Japanese muscle car.

I'm waiting on approvals from owners of 5 vehicles at the shop before posting about them. They include:
46 Willys Jeep (real deal)
74 Porsche 911 Targa
86? Porsche 924? Maybe 928?
78 corvette
76 ford F100 with a 460

I highly recommend taking the heads to a machine shop to have them reworked. But with your symptoms, your engine is damage. Take it to reputable auto repair place and have them run further diagnostics.
If you need further info let me know.

I'm finally home. Looks like he took it to a mechanic and had the sealant put in.

I just drove for it a bit all the symptoms have gone away. Thanks man

Let your father know to watch it for the next couple of weeks. Just to make sure it's a permanent fix and not a temporary one.

Well I think the owner wouldn't mind if I post this on the thread. Which depending on his answer I might be the owner. Contacted the shop where it's located and gave them an offer to send to the owner.
