91 300ZX. Owner of this car also owns the 54 MGTF, and 04 Z4; that were post earlier in the thread. Mods include exhaust, clutch and shifter. This an older gentleman so it doesn't have those stupid fart can system. It has a nice deep sound while idling, and sounds good going through the gears. Which it would be awesome if it was the TT variant, but it's still a really nice car. Miles posted are original miles. Interesting note the body is very areo, it has a drag coefficient of .30. These cars would probably be one of the very few Asian cars I'd want/buy. All in all a very nice car.

Update...
Challenger restoration. Well, we've got a lot of progress, but things are going downhill quick. After spending over an hour talking with him, the rear end of the vehicle will most likely need to be redone. Keep in mind the rear end is completely new metal. So, not a good day. Whatever if it needs it, it needs it, it'll get it.

09 CTS-V Sedan. Mods include exhaust, and tune. I believe the owner has ordered pullies. The graphic is a painted realistic flames and checkered flag. It's in for oil change and diagnostics concerning the engine coolant system. The graphic is new, it wasn't on the car during its last visit. Very nice car, and very strong.

Not a huge fan of the graphic but it looks like its done really well. If your going to do something like that then have it done well like this one. The rest of the car is awesome. I love me a ctsv for sho!! Nice pics of it. Thanks for showing!

A customer had one of these at my work the other day. Very unique to say the least. It looked pretty damn fun! He said it was a lot of fun and pretty quick.

Im sure there are a ton of ups and downs with a complete resto like this. Im sure it will be well worth it in the end. Looks like the body work is coming along though. Was the original new sheet metal just not done correctly?

72 chassis being converted to a 70. The body panels were installed improperly. So, the guy that's finishing the car for me is going to see what it will need, or if it's salvageable. I had someone from our go to body shop come over and do it. Well he had no idea what he was doing. Goes to show you, that trying to save money, well it didn't work for me on this car.

I'd buy a CTS-V coupe with a manual. In my opinion it's caddy's muscle car. And I thing they are sexy. I'm not into the sharp angled cars, which is that car. But caddy made it work on CTS cars.
I'm also going to be driving the Polaris sometime next week. Owner is a friend, and previous mustang owner (14 GT). Which he doesn't have the mustang anymore, he traded it for a 14 370Z, and he sold that for a truck (dodge).

Update...
Well I didn't post up pictures yesterday, but we got some stuff done.
Porsche 917. We finally finished installing the rear disc brake conversion. Biggest pain was getting the parking brake hooked up, man it sucked. Bled the brakes and now I'll test drive it tomorrow.

We also relocated the voltage regulator, from the engine to the body. It caused a bad vibration and owner requested us to look into it. Verdict was we agreed on relocating it.

White Porsche. Well engine is back in and it's running, much to our surprise. And let me tell you it's nasty, got some wicked cams in it. Clutch is out or isn't hooked up, so that's on the list. I had to put it in gear a few times and the shifter broke. It found a weak spot, and looked someone patched it together. Well we cut the shift to be nice and smooth and installed it. Owner has requested more work be done to the car, I'm not sure what it is.
75 triumph. Valves are readjusted now the awful ticking sound is mostly gone. We have to re-gasket a few things then it should be ready.

2000 Camaro T-top. Had to replace a converter on the car. After the test drive, car runs very well. It's pretty low mileage for being 15 years old, 93,0XX. I like the T-top it's very convenient. Nice car.

08 Wrangler Unlimited. It's a personal friends vehicle. He traded the grabber blue 2010 GT (look at earlier post for it), for it at one of our local dealerships. Which it's to be expected, he's a truck guy. It's a really nice piece; we've got a catalog ordered for him. He intends to lift it and a few other mods. Looking forward to the mods to come!

Everything deprecates, some more than others. Which I don't think 6 grand for a 07 Mercedes, with 99K miles is bad at all. That's just me.

About 5 years ago we bought a 70K jag for 17,500. I think 05 s type R. Supercharged 4.2? V8 400hp 18K miles. Very nice car, we sold it, much to my disapproval.
Too many cool cars out there.

Went with a co-worker, in our wrecker, to get his suburban at a hotel off 24. As luck would have it the owner of this mustang was out getting things out of the car. So we talked a little, he's from Wisconsin and he's the original owner!

I love what I do. Well my passion is restoration of classics. Buts it nice to work on the new stuff too. Interesting note, most of the time owners will have us do a little work, then pick up the car. A few days later the come back and want us to fix some other issues. I guess kinda like a test. The 54 Chevy is back for more repairs, the 54 MG is back same thing, the CTS-V is coming back Friday, and there's a 09 Boxster coming in later tomorrow. And some have an extended stay for further repairs, the white Porsche and the triumph fall into this category. Never a dull moment. I'm planning on going to see the Challenger sometime tomorrow or Friday.
I got to deliver the 54 chevy which was an awesome experience! I need a lead sled now!

+1, the father in law had a 49 merc. It was so sweet. He has another half restored. It'll be just as sweet.

A co-workers father brings his toys to let us work on sometimes. He has a 49 Merc lead sled with an LS swap. Flat black, red and white pin striping, black and white dinner interior, wire wheels. We installed cruise control among other things. I like the shifter knob. It was that crazy mouse head. Looked hilarious.

My father in laws was yellow with triple flames on the front. Chopped of course, frenched, and had the original flat head in it. 3 on the tree. He had fender skirts, and solid caps. It was unreal. White leather interior.

Yeah he built it and kept it for years. At that time he has a 31 ford hi boy with a 350 on it. Side outs and 2 foot mickey Thompsons. It was the same yellow with only orange flames. A little 3 window. It was sick but so dangerous to drive. The fuel cell was right against your back. No bumpers. Built for his wife. It got scary going to shows so he sold both. Now building back the other 49 he has.

03 Boxster. Came in for an oil change and inspection. It's a manual trans car with 24,XXX miles on it. Inspection, came out good, nothing to report. Very nice piece.

87 El Camino Conquista. Car back fired and the muffler went boom. So, we fixed it. It's got 45,XXX original miles and it's a 4.3 V6. I'm not very familiar with these cars, so I talked with the owner about what Conquista meant. As I thought it's a trim package, like the California Special. It's a triple tone paint, silver, maroon, silver. All the chrome is in excellent shape along with the interior. The body has very little to no rust on it. It has REV thrust wheels on it. Last year for the El Caminos. All in all a very nice piece.

Well the 54 MGTF was running bad so we did some checking. So I took a spark plug out and it's gassed, so are the rest as you see. New plugs are in gapped at .20 - .22 and torqued at 18ft lbs. Maybe tomorrow I can test drive it; it's raining at the moment and the car can't get out. And it needs a few other things.
White Porsche is still on the wrecker; possibly looking at it tomorrow.
54 chevy is on a lift above the 54 MG, waiting it's turn.
