^ a coworker of mine just bought I believe an 83 Cutlass. One owner with 56,XXX original miles. Not a bad car at all for $400. He's getting ready for some welds racing wheels for it. We've put a flowmaster system on it and going to do some work to it. Which it's a 307 so it's not stout, yet.
They, along with the Grand Nationals, are beautiful cars of the 80s. And worthy of the title of the 80s muscle cars!

Very true. Take off all the emission and ac junk and you'll gain about 15 hp. Which is a lot on that 307.

Best thing though is to toss that motor and build a small block for it )

Yea, he wants a 455 for it. We're looking for one, but he has to get his license first. Interior is in pretty good shape, it's dark blue. It's the same color as my Impala (mist blue). It's going to be nice when he gets it fixed.

Nice. Mine was the dark blue aswell.

Honestly these cars perform better with small blocks. There already heavy enough so getting power to the ground is easy

A massive smalle block is way cheaper than a mildly built big block and will put out more power and will get into its power band a lot faster due to a shorter stroke.

Light blue. And I've tried telling him that, but he's building what he had back in the day. So he's pretty set in his ways. We'll see.

It's at our shop currently. I'll try to get some pictures of it and post them up in my thread, tomorrow.

i had a 97 Eclipse GST. Was a fun car, but since it was an auto, it was pretty gutless. Was going to modify it, but the timing belt broke, and cost a fortune to fix. Sold it right after.

Yeah, you can get decent power out of the 4G63, but constant repairs get old.

A first car will do that to you. A buddy of mine sold his 04 V6 manual, for an 05 V6. He misses his new edge so bad. I think it might have something to do with the memories created in the car.

Pick your poison.

And that's the reason why my chevy isn't going anywhere. Had some of the happiest memories of my life while driving that car.
