What's a good asking price

I've a question for all you mustang guys. Who would know more about a mustangs price then us. So I've got a 2010 4.0 premium and going to be selling it trying to make up a reasonable price. I know I will be losing money but just want to think what a realistic selling price should be.

Has:
Under drive pulley and gates belt
BMR tubular k-member
BMR tubular radiator support
BMR chasis support
SR strut tower brace
Throttle body spacer
Misimoto auto trans intercooler
Taylor 10mm spark plug wires
Accel coil pack
Ford racing lower control arms
Caliper covers
Slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic break pads
2015 mustang rims with all brand new tires
235/50/50 Pirelli P Nero Zeros
C&L cold air intake
Bama tuned and tuner
Quarter window louvers
Rear window louver
Boss c stripes
Hood stripes
Billet aluminum grille
Halo lights
Hid fog lights
Upgraded speakers kicker all way around oem HU with sync
2 kicker comp cvt shallow 8" subs
Tail light trim
Long tubes
Pype axle backs
Magnaflow x pipe
2.5 QTP cut outs both sides
Aluminum drive shaft
8.8 rear end with 3.73 gear
White line upper pan hard bar brace

17,870 miles

KBB says 18,000

Also have boss diffuser valance and GTCS spoiler in a box to go with the car. Along with oem herders, cold air intake and cats.

Thanks

You could definitely get more than 18,000 for it. The low mileage alone is killer. I'm not too sure exactly what to ask for it but I would shoot for around 22,000 or so. It's a beautiful car man ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

KBB and NADA provide prices of what the average person would pay for a 2010 V6 Mustang with what it has from Ford - Similar to yours. When you factor in the Aftermarket stuff, you are now no longer going by their pricing if you want compensation for all of it. Also, you are now no longer just selling the Mustang to anyone, you are selling it to specific buyers who share the same taste as you. In all honesty, this is a lot smaller crowd, for anyone doing the same.

So if you do list it at $22,000-$25,000, be prepared to either get hardly any inquiries, wait a long time for it to sell, or have someone haggle down the price (Probably back down to KBB). As you will now be waiting for the 1 specific buyer to come along to buy your car.

To add to that - A normal person MIGHT not want the car. Because they will end up spending more money removing the customizations they didn't like and replacing them. Ask me how I know.

Like when I was shopping for a car, I immediately dismissed most modded cars because I wanted something I could make my own and not have to have any doubts or questions on the craftsmanship of whoever installed the aftermarket stuff.

So just be prepared if you do that.

Additional: Yea no one is going to pay 22,000 for a 4.0 V6. Even with Mods. you can buy a 2013-2014 5.0 for that which already has more power and a better platform.

You will lose money either way you go. Best to part out and recoup some of the money. Then ask for 15-17k. That will give you a good chunk of money to go out and get whatever car you are looking to get (down payment).

I know its not the answer you were hoping for. But it is the most realistic one. It is very hard to sell a highly modified car. Some dealerships wont even take them if they are too far gone or if they do, you will get low balled to the max.

Lastly, I see you did some stuff to the intake and exhaust, if the car cannot pass inspections/emissions, plan on this being an even harder sell.

Kbb lies

I can buy a coyote for 18k

If I were you I'd pull all those mods off, sell private party.

Low miles or not no one who knows mustangs wants a 4.0

Awesome looking car I like it... Sadly custom parts don't usually make the car worth more unless you find a buyer that's likes what was done... That said still a sweet looking ride ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I was just trying to get a base idea what to ask. I'm not expecting all what I put into the car.

Was going to ask 20,500 but settle for 18,000 some negotiation room.

If some one wants it they can always swap a v8 has the 8.8 with 3.73.

Someone is crazy if they pay 18 for that man. Not trying to put your hopes down. But I see 15 being a lot more realistic

I know guys with 14's 3.7 low miles and the car isn't worth that. You have to look at factors like that. If I can get a 14 with a far superior motor, newer body style (hids, better tails) why wouldn't I?

Put it back to stock. Sell the car then sell the parts. You will get more like that.

What all stock parts can you put back in to replace the aftermarket stuff? In order to part out.

I can't get rid of my 2014, 3.7, mt82, premium, mca, glass roof with 23,000 miles for $18,000, if I could, it would be gone.

Realistically, $12,000 - $13,000 is about all you would get private party in my area.

Haha .. It will magically become "hard to get rid of" because "I really love this junk, err, car."

Eww ... I felt horrible typing that. I think I need to practice saying those things out loud.
