OEM Leather seats

Hey folks I'm located in Amarillo Tx. I'm looking for a dark (charcoal colored maybe) 4way electric leather driver seat for a 01 Mustang GT. Any suggestions on websites or any one close the the Texas panhandle that might have a good used one? I've called just about every salvage yard and none are available. Also called a few leather upholstery places and I've gotten a few estimates of around $700-750 just for repair. That price seems outrageous being that I could buy a new one for that price if not for cheaper. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Honestly Id replace the front seats with racing seats from american muscle. A lot cheaper then having the stock ones repaired.

Order a set of Katskin replacements and do them yourself. It's actually very easy believe it or not. And you can get an entire set for what you got quoted to repair the ones you have

TMI also sells a reupholstering kit and they also have the Bullitt/Mach/Cobra bolsters if you wanted to add those in as well.

What kind of damage was done to the seats?

Just small tears on the bottom portion and normal wear on the left side of the back rest.

Jeez, and it was quoted 700 to fix? What a huge rip-off. Like others have said, it'd be cheaper to just buy a new seat

OEM Leather seats

No joke. Just don't know where to find it. I'd like an original with the Mustang Logo on the back rest. I've called all the salvage yards in and around my city hoping one is there but no luck.

Reupholstering it yourself is probably the cheapest way to go. Just be warned, it can be a bit fussy and you will learn to hate hog rings with a passion...

Looks awesome. I need to do my front seats in my 96 gt. The drivers seat is fine except the usual small tears on the bolster from sliding in and out but otherwise decent. My passenger seat, i had a mis hap a couple years ago with my sons spray sunscreen lotion, lol, took the color out of the leather in a couple spots where it pooled before i could clean it up. Had it in a bag and it started spraying cause something put pressure on it in the bag.

Check with MPS Auto Salvage or Prestige Mustang. Both are in Georgia so not exactly next door but in your region.

They usually have inventory on hand, not sure about pricing though.
