sweet, thanks for the info, i think i would prefer moon if i had to have one, my friends saturn had a leaky sunroof, pita.... i'm guessing the moon roof would be more sealed...?
If you want an open top, buy a convertible. You will have nothing but problems with any open roof option you try to put in tthe car aftermarket...the car was not designed with an open top in mind and any kit will not fit the contour and will leak. Plus, it will look gay and kill the lines of the car.
Yes. The roof of the mustang is curved. Sun/Moon Roofs are flat.
The roof of the mustang is not re-inforced to support the now missing section of roof. There will be body twist and flex and you will wear out the sealant....and it will leak.
i had a 91 probe with an aftermarket moonroof it either raised up 2 inches or you could take the glass out its not a hassle no matter what anyone says just put it in the back, but i don't know if i'd like the look of one on a mustang but its your car you do what u like
Putting a sunroof in a car not originally equipped, IMO, is a terrible idea.. the car isn't designed for it, most sunroof equipped cars are DIFFERENT from non... and the kits can't make up that difference properly
Plus you have an extra source for leaks/wear and tear/etc...
Aftermarket sun/moonroof, send me some of the good stuff you have, not no but hell no. Its better to go ahead and shampoo your seats than natural wash and dry
+1000 to not getting one. They dont fit the curve of the roof and look horrible, if you want to ruin your car then you can get one other wise dont do it.
Too bad you didn't have a convertible. I remember seeing a removable hard top made by this company that looked exactly like the coupe versions...best of both worlds...Only problem was that it added so much weight and probably leaked.
