01 GT rear rotor issues

I am trying to replace my stock rear rotors with a new set of SSBC slotted and drilled rotors. the only issue i am running into is, simply the rotor will not break loose. i have the caliper and the anchor plate removed. is there anything i am missing?

Re: 01 GT rear rotor issues

use some Kroil/WD40/Penetrate. Let it soak near the hub and studs. Then get a rubber mallot or something softer than the rotor(if you don't want to damage it - if you don't care then use a 5lb mall) and hit the inside of the rotor, pushing it off, do this in a circle or different spots until it comes loose.
Make sure there are no metal retainers on the studs either!

Re: 01 GT rear rotor issues

also put down some anti seeze for the new rotor so this issue wont repeat itself.

Re: 01 GT rear rotor issues

What are you using this car for? What I am wondering is why you went slotted?
