rattling exhaust - Mustang Evolution

rattling exhaust

since i bought my 02 gt there has been a rattle in the back the dood i bought it from said something needed to be tighted i looked and at the highest point in the bend it was hitting the chassis i tightned the nut where the pipe attaches to the exhaust tips and it fixed it but it felt like it was about to come out i think it might happen again how can i get it shoved farther in there

Is your catback the 3 piece? Like the front of the mufflers bolt up to the midpipe, then the rear of the mufflers bolt up to the pipes going over your axle, then those pipes into the tips?

a pipe connects to the midpipe then the pipe is connected to the muffler then the pipe from the back of the muffler bends up then down then connects to the tailpipe

replace the bolt/clamp or just loctite the *****

+1 And also for it not to hit the chassis loosen the pipes going over the axle and turn them until they no longer bump then re-tighten
