03 Cobra Clutch...

Well its time for a new clutch in the cobra. So I just thought I would ask if anyone had any connection for getting a good deal on a clutch kit. I'm looking for something to hold around 700hp to the flywheel, maybe a spec, ram, or ect.

Re: 03 Cobra Clutch...

I would recommend the Spec 3+ with the light pedal effort. It feels like there is no pedal there at all. It's what I put in last year and I have no plans of going back.

As for the deal, your best bet is to go through lethal or atomic performance I think.

Re: 03 Cobra Clutch...

I just had someone tell me that there is a place in Nashville that rebuilds clutches for tractors and high HP cars. I thought this guy was crazy because I have never heard of any such thing before. So I google the business name and gave them a call. The man I talked to said they build custom clutch disc, fix pressure plates and reuse the housings. He said he does a lot of tractor and drag cars and it would hold better than ever before. Also he said it would only cost me $150 so hell I about willing to get it a try for that price. What do you guys think?

Re: 03 Cobra Clutch...

hmmm i would just do what works good and dont risk something ... that seems shady and you may be in for much more than a good clutch and install when its all said and done

Re: 03 Cobra Clutch...

Go Spec Twin Disc Setup - easier than a Ranger clutch! and can support butt loads of torque

My brother actually has it on his '03 Black Whipple Powered Cobra.
