I got a 2001 mustang gt

I has an automatic transmission and I want to put a manual in it. Im not really sure about everything I need to get this done. Anyone have an idea of all the parts I'll need to do this?

Save your money. Get a tune and shift kit. The auto is consistent and will be a good Dig racer with a tune and gears.

The money you would put into the swap you could instead use for many more performance parts and get much more out of the car.

If you are dead set on the swap, try searching the forums. I believe someone here did either provide a link or a near complete list for the swap. Off of the top of my head I could think of is either a T-5/T-45 or a Tremec 3650 transmission and correct bellhousing, the clutch, I don't know if you have to change the ECU, the small parts for the transmission including the clutch plates, the shifter, shifter trim. I think some of the suspension and exhaust has to be modified, but do not quote me on that.

most of the time (unless you dont care about the car's values and are really good mechanically) you are better off to sell and buy a manual. I had the same issue as you with my 97 Mustang.. I sold it for an 01 rather than destroy the resale value of the car and spend a ton of money to swap it over.
