Re: Mustang drifting

Well mine is setup for grip more than drift. but it seems to work well. First off you need to drop your center of gravity, stiffer the better (helps with the transitions) and some adjustable shocks (i went with koni but they are expensive, so maybe KYB for you, good beginner shock). then you need a good grippy tire up front, and a ok to good grippy tire out back (common mistake is that people want to put the slickest cheapest tire possable, while that may work ok for low hp/tq cars. it doesnt work so well for us cause you will be quick looking the way you just came before you even have time to react.) That about all i got for setup. let me know if i can help you out anymore

o and being the helpless self-promoter that i am dont for get to hit that thanks button if you found this helpful

Re: Mustang drifting

haha ill be sure too, but right now i have like 19 inch rims on my car which means BIGGER tires so im gonna have to buy smaller ones right? b.c the 19 inch tires are around 600-800 all around making it to expensive to drift with those big rims and tires because im starting out. if u wanna see the rims/tires its in the intro page.

idealy the smaller stiffer sidewall tire is better, makes the car more perdictable. i recommend getting a set of 17x9 in. rims and getting some decent tires for them. its what i just did .
