Hi all y'all - hoping someone here has a suggestion for me to get my a/c blowing out of the proper vents. Out of the blue the a/c began blowing out of the defrost vents on the dash rather than through the proper vents and it's quite uncomfortable in the Florida heat and humidity!
Any other description you need to answer? Please let me know.
Thanks for the reply 2007Stang - this doesn't appear to be my problem though - it IS cold air that is coming out of defrost vents and it doesn't matter which setting the control is on or what level I have the blower set on.
Thanks guys - I hadn't clicked on the link yet before I replied - it does indeed sound like the blending box. Am now doing a search for a diagram so that I can possibly fix it myself. I have done a quick search for a "service" manual on my model but not having very good luck - with it's age I'll probably have to try the ebay route.
the mode doors are actuated yb vacuum. i had the same problem once on my 95. i know it different but i would first check to make sure the mode door is getting vacuum. follow the vacuum lines to the hvac box
