Re: lookin for a new need help

Depends what your going for man, are you getting the mustang for daily driving or track means? If daily driving then get one cheaper that just looks really nice, but if track or both get the last one that you like. The modifications done to that car is amazing .

03/04 cobras are amazing bang for the buck, but make SURE if you want one to check out svtperformance.com as they are ALWAYS selling and post up the one you are looking at BEFORE you buy as there are some things you must check out on them before purchasing.

Re: lookin for a new need help

1) That blue 01 cobra's price was too high. 17,900 with 51k miles...screw that, there's 3 of them within 100 miles of me with less than 40k for under 15,000.

2) The mach 1 was a decent price...just make sure the guy didn't botch the tune.

3) The silver cobra seemed a bit pricey for the mileage, there are plenty of them cheaper with fewer miles on svtperformance
Is is just me or are the cc studs rusted looking
GT floor mats in a cobra = fail

4) SONIC BLUE COBRA - winner!!!...if it's clean and legit, and the one you really want.
Though it may not be the best dd...maybe a lightly modded cobra would be better.

Re: lookin for a new need help

^^^The cobra? To me, it seemed priced too high for the mileage...64k is a lot on a cobra...unless you were going to rebuild the engine I'd pass on that one. There are plenty of silver cobra coupes out there, just my opinion

Re: lookin for a new need help

1st - The Mach looks clean, low mileage for the year, price reflects condition and mileage - bottom line? Fair deal

2nd - True blue is such a great color....but, price seems high for the year and mileage, regardless it's a Cobra. Mach is much better deal with same engine.

3rd - Low miles...yes, but it's still a 8, almost 9 year old car. Not worth over 20k in any form. Good news is it looks like noone really drove it, bad news is there's no telling what has happened since that car has sat up alot.

4th - Someone has beat on that car...alot. I promise lol. Also willing to bet if you took the pulley cover off you'd either find an aftermarket pulley or marks from a pulley puller. Do not want for that price with that mileage. The way the market is right now it's not worth over 18k.

5th - The car has been built, and built right. You do not want to DD a car like that, however. Also, you'd never get a loan anywhere near that amount.

As far as DDing a 03/04 cobra, I wouldn't mind it in mine if it was a hardtop. I still don't mind, just worried about the top developing problems more than anything. Other than that it's just a car...and it's going to break and have issues, just part of it.

Re: lookin for a new need help

the 03/04 market is soft and you can get a GREAT car now with super low miles for a nice price. thats where to be if you want future potential per dollar spent
