Re: opinions on 96 gt rims

i think i want 18's. the 2003 cobra rims look sick and they look even better with that extended spoiler i've seen on most of the pics with them. i also like the cobra R's. which finish do you think would be the best looking with white?

Chrome would look great with white.

Keep in mind that when buying 18's you need to look at the price of tires as well. There is a size tax you have to pay when going up in rim sizes. You'll need a 275 tire for a 9" rim and a 315ish tire for a 10.5" rim. Check out the prices to make sure they are in your budget.

AFS is the company that makes 18 inch 2003 cobra replica rims, about 1000 a set, and tires are about 1000 a set depending on brand

1994-1998 Ford Mustang Wheels, Mustang Rims at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

American Muscle has a ton of 03/04 cobra style rims. They have the chrome ones in standard 17x9 and deep dish.

94-04 Wheel, 03-04 Cobra, Silver/Anthracite, 5 Lug, 17X9, Mustang - $14.99 Shipping at LRS!

LatemodelRestorationSupply has the machined finish that are cheaper...I didn't order rims from them though, not sure about quality or shipping.

Re: opinions on 96 gt rims

Offset should be around 25mm? I think that's right.

I'm not saying they won't fit, but you might have issues with it.

Re: opinions on 96 gt rims

I don't think they make the 03/04 cobra rims in 18's. They just came out with the "deep dish" style for them a little while ago. 26mm offset will fit, also make sure the bolt pattern 5 x 4.5". I believe the 94-04 mustangs had the same bolt pattern.

Re: opinions on 96 gt rims

american muscle has chrome 18's but none machined finish. i'd really rather have 18's than 17's.

Re: opinions on 96 gt rims

Please do correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any 18" 03/04 cobra style rims on American Muscle. There are the saleen style rims and the chrome Cobra R rims in 18".

As Spec said in an earlier post, AFS has the 18" cobra style rims. That's the only place I know of that has them as well.
