CODE PULLED P1443?

Any ideas on what this code means and how to fix it? I did a search and found some answers on the V6 forums but I dont think its the same answer cause mines a v8.

That code holds true whether you drive a 4, 6, or 8 cyl. It's your purge flow sensor is going/gone out.

Quick Google pulled this up:

"It is on the passenger side close to the firewall. One hose comes from the vapor canister so that should help you find it or go buy it first so you know what you're looking for."

dont listen to this info. a p1443 is low purge flow Or no purge flow detected
a number of things can cause this to happen such as a canister purge soleniod (common!), canister purge sensor (common!), wiring, pcm, or even a charcoal canister itself. to condemn the sensor without a proper diagnosis is ignorant and a waste of money!

Ok, so, don't listen to my post yet you go ahead and include what I said as one of the COMMON problems?

Ok, then, I guess he shouldn't listen to your info either.

you saying that is the problem when it might not be is throwing away money. i suppose you also get a code p0401 (egr insufficient flow) and automatically replace the egr valve when infact its the DPFE sensor. replacing the common problem is taking a stab in the dark and throwing money away. do you like pissing money away? especially when these emmisions parts arent exactly cheap.

Re: CODE PULLED P1443?

I never said replace the part dip ****. I said that was his problem and corrected his statement that the info he had already searched for and found did not change for a V8 like he was assuming. If you use some form of reading comprehension and put down the crack pipe, you'd realize it was someone else that flat out stated a google result of ""It is on the passenger side close to the firewall. One hose comes from the vapor canister so that should help you find it or go buy it first so you know what you're looking for.".

No where in my post did I say "Go buy parts and replace them and hope it works".

Re: CODE PULLED P1443?

Now there's a shame I was jolly well enjoying that to & frow banter, golly I thought we English could get into it, but that was impressive. I learned lots of new words & expressions I wasn't totally familiar with & now I'm looking for an opportunity to use them. I particularly liked the "pulling of a tampon from one's *******" & the reference to playing with a catheter, very imaginative, the "Overgrown Sloth" was also creative. Sorry it all had to end so suddenly.

Re: CODE PULLED P1443?
