flowmasters sound good..
but you get a lot more drone in the car than you could..

I'm a fan of magnaflow personally..
a bit too quiet at idle but sounds awesome WOT..

I have the Bassani O/R X and Flowmaster deltaflows . Really nasty sounding when winding up through the gears but a nice low drone in 5th and cruising so ya dont go deaf on long trips. It roxxorz

Guys remember he has a GT. He does not need chambered mufflers to create a bad *** sound. Just get some Dynomax Ultraflows, Magnaflows or Borla Mufflers. They are flow thru design and will provide good sound and better flow which will free up a few pony's along the way

FYI you use chambers so you dont loose all your torque on the low end. It evens out the tourque curve nicely. Keeping a bit of back pressure is nessisary for that.

Dude that is all well and good on a V6 but it is totally unneccessary on a V8. I also dont believe there is much loss on a V6 especially on a car with Cats on it. In 23 years of building cars and going to dynos the loss of torque is minimal or non existant.

I do belive I have a bit of experience myself and can show you on the dyno that you do loose enough torque to make a difference on launch with a 4.6. For normal driveability no it wont make that much difference but when racing every bit of torque counts at launch time. Maybe I should have prefaced my remark and stated for racing purposes but hell why build a performance setup if you aren't going to race?
With chambered mufflers and a spacer you can put the car back to the original torque or a little above it while boosting flow for higher HP numbers. Win / win situation.

On a side note Im in Darlington everyweekend. We seriously need to hook up and compare notes over some brews sometime. :booze:

i like my single chambers on my 88 just about open pipe...(mufflers are 12" long including the inlet/out holes...6" total ) with one lil piece of aluminum in my way I still get the chambered idle I love and sound mean...mainly since I still dont have my tails on yet but they should be on this weekend hopefully.

Hey Josh, just talked to craig (the guy with the stock bullitt). He thinks Tyler (the other bullit) has flowmasters, but he's not sure. With an offroad x pipe, he knows that much lol. I say go ahead and buy an off road x pipe, and go with the magnaflows all the way back, it's gonna sound so sweet man.
