Re: first vette kill :D

also you said that corvettes are really fast up high which is true but a supercharged car, especially a centrifigul supercharger will make full boost at or near redline so most of the hp is made at redline, this is one of the benefits of a s/c, you won't lose power up high.

Man.. Why are you guys hating, Vettes aren't invincible, They're quick factory cars. I'm dying to find a c6 to run with me from a third gear kick. After I get injectors....for sure, it's on.

Now here is a link from a corvette forum that shows a c5 running only slightly slower with the same trap: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=904483

Like I said, I never thought Whipster was lying, just thought it would be a bit closer.

My car is a beast on the top end. I also have since put down 414 rwhp and 384 ft lbs on a mustang dyno. Puts me around 480 crank hp.

I always like taking out 50K cars

Re: first vette kill :D

I've beaten several C5 vette's in a stock BULLITT, so I'm sure the SC'd stang would have smoked it. The auto C5's aren't that quick at all and MIGHT run low 13's with good tires and someone that knows how to launch it. Whoever that red herring guy is, has no conception of dyno charts/curves/displacement/cfm(from turbo, sc, or NA). A V8 turbo would in theory almost always have a flatter tq curve than an NA car. And almost every centrifigal blower out there has a linear curve whereas the roots/twinscrew blowers have tq curves comparative to a turbo'd motor. [/rant]

Not true turbo cars pull harder in the upper end as long as its a well matched turbo
