I have a 2000 mustang GT with 3.73 gears. I had a stage 2 racing clutch, about a month ago the through out bearing went out so i replaced it well last night the clutch went out. I was wondering what clutch to get and were to get it from i live in Louisiana right outside of Baton Rouge.

I have a Ram stage 2 clutch and a Spec aluminum flywheel in my 02 GT I got from American Muscle I'm happy with them so far. While your in there I would change to a aluminum flywheel.

If Gran Turismo taught me anything, a lighter aluminum flywheel results in less rotating mass giving you quicker revs!

The flywheel matched up with a nice aluminum drive shaft will definitely rev faster. I'm not sure what racing clutch you had but the Ram clutch I have is rated for 450 hp for about 250.00. Thats a good price for a clutch kit.

The setup I used on my '92 331 stroker =

Centerforce Dual Friction clutch

Fidanza aluminum flywheel

FRPP Aluminum driveshaft

I had no vibrations, clutch was very easy to work and it handled a TON of abuse with zero issues

When I destroy the clutch in my new 2001, I will probably use the same setup

Re: need a new clutch recommendations

I haven't droped the trans yet and wanted to see if anyone can confirm what is wrong. You can push in the clutch, and it still feels normal. U can put it in gear but I can just let off the clutch while in gear and nothing happens. I'm thinking the plate just can't grab anymore. I'm not with the car this weekend and I'm sure if the engine changed idle or anything. Can anyone confirm the problem before I pull it apart?

centerforce clutches suck balls in my experience!
might wanna look into competition clutch, ACT, and zoom. i personally run a zoom and absolutely love it. PERFECT pedal feel and overall just a great unit.
