Re: Thinking abt a Tonneau

I've heard good things about the Cervini's Speedster Cover. Someone might know of another one that is as good of quality for less.

As far as the light bar, it seems that everyone who has a Speedster Cover has the light bar. I personally think the Speedster cover looks fine with or without it...so imo it's up to you.

Re: Thinking abt a Tonneau

cervinis is very good quality, i would go with them about over anyone.

some things to think about:
It will sit and rub the black trim and depending it may rub the paint (based on how its made) this may not be a big issue i have no personal experience but i dont see how it couldnt wear it due to how it sits

If you get a one piece you cant take it off and put the top up when out... no where to put it. The two piece is said to fit in the truck but takes up all its space

They can start to sag over time and if the quality sucks getting it prepped and painted can be costly and if they dont prep it right it can have waves in it etc.

Carbon Creations Tonneau

I bought the Carbon Creations® 106807 - Ford Mustang 1994-2004 KR-S Carbon Fiber Tonneau Boot Cover.

I expressly asked if this product would just drop on and I was told yes. It did not. I am still working on it 2 months later. This is partly the time I don't have and I am going slowly to make sure I don't screw them up. I have had to make some pretty extensive changes to it in order to get the windows to go up and to fit the light bar they were supposed to be designed for. There was a flaw in the surface when it arrived. My wife saw it after about 2 seconds. I wanted to use them unpainted and CarID gave me some $$ to get the problem fixed.

The problem is really poorly constructed molds and this is the responsibility of Carbon Creations. I would not buy them again.

I don't have any experience with the Cervanis but my Carbon Creations experience suggests there will be some work before they fit properly.

I have the two piece from abc exclusive. I love them. They sit on the black metal trim and never touch the paint. I do have the style bar and you need to order the one for a light bar if you have one. They will fit in the trunk but you have to remove the piece that hides the back seat. You can not let the top down with them in the trunk. It takes about 5 min to put them on and take them off. I use a thick sheet to wrap mine in when they are in the trunk.

Personally think its a big waste of $$$ myself and it makes the car look... not right. At least IMO. I'd spend the $$$ on the cover and the paint to match to get something done to the car to make it that much more enjoyable to drive.

I am sorry but I get more attention with it on. It changes the whole look of the car. I like it because it is different, and as far as I know I am the only one in my area that has one. The few shows I have been in it gets more attention than the ones around it does. Then again I am not much on shows I prefer driving and showing it off that way. My mileage is proof of that 211,356 miles and I have loved every second of it.
