Recommend a shop for engine rebuild or swap

Bad news guys, whoever owned my GT before me caused crank and bearing issues. Time for a rebuild or new long block. Can anyone recommend a good shop or engine supplier? I'm in Rosemead, near downtown LA.

Depends on the kind of money you want to spend, but I would check the local junkyards, you can get a used GT engine with low miles that is about as good as a new one, and you wouldnt' even have to break it in. Sorry you are on the wrong coast for me to get specific. My total lossed 99 Vert is a good example, only like 48K miles on it, and not even driven hard a lot. I am sure that engine is in great shape, and has been running synthetic Havoline the last 20K or so and changed every 5K by me!

A new crate engine is sooooo tempting though. Gotta keep the priorities straight right? I'm still waiting for the right deal. I will get my car back out on the road!
