DO NOT USE C&L they are POS. Use PRO-M they are FAR FAR superior. My friends build is car and ran a C&L it was POS would barly idle... if not die. After the install of a Pro-M the car ran 100% perfect. I live like very close to the C&L main company... I wish they did make something worth using.

a TB spacer and the TB its self wont be of much use at all, dont waste your moeny. I would get a ported upper instead.

oh yeah, skip the MAF, the tuner will take care of it. You don't need a different maf until you have a power adder, at that point you should get a lightning MAF or a SCT big maf.

well the mac plenum is ported to 75mm already. i think the tb and plenum both at 75mm will be a nice combo in terms of airflow. and the TB spacer is like 30 bucks, so why the hell not? get it while the money aint mine.

the K&N FIPK are already 200 bucks, so why not for a few more have a 85mm tb? and how should a bigger maf but using the same electronics(the 85mm maf is just the housing, the electronics are drop in) run different?

k heres what i bought, took advice against a 85mm maf system, so went with the Demolet CAI system for 135$. still got the MAC Plenum(129$) and 75mm TB(125). then bought the Diablo Predator for 400.

Re: how does this sound?(long modlist inside)

i looked into both the diablo and sct, but i kept finding i liked the diablo better. it just sounded more, i dont know, like dsmlink without actually being dsmlink. it even has to where you can log and upload it into a pc program and look at it(much like dsmlink) and more effectively see what you need to do to the tune, rahter than look at numbers on a 1"x2" screen.

god if someone were able to make a dsmlink like program for a stang, i would be in heaven. imagine the ability to adjust airflow, VE tables, fuel(not just rpm based, but global(general) and injector dead time), timing, ability to log at up to 300 samples per second, and up to 20 different ecu values at a time, and log up to 6 hours of info(long road trip status), and the ability to save changes on the fly(while the car is in motion, in gear, driving) without having to pull over. as well as have 3bar map sensor inputs(for logging real pressure at the manifold, good for those boosted) and wideband o2 inputs(for 250 bucks and never having to go to a dynotune again). oh well, until i become a programmer and know what the **** all that above means, ill just have to keep dreaming.

wait a minute, you can get the source code for dsmlink. if someone knew how the ecu works, and could burn chips and **** to be able to use the dsmlink software(though modified for stangs) to control a stangs ecu, we would be in business.

the important thing is to find the nearest reputable dyno shop and ask them what they use, that will make dyno tuning much more simple.

Re: how does this sound?(long modlist inside)

the K&n thing looks bad to me, i would go with another brand... its not worth 200 bucks. I would get a chrome cai before i paid 200 for black plastic one (no diff in performance)

you can get what ever brand maf you want, C&l just suck

Re: how does this sound?(long modlist inside)

its funny too, i couldve just made my own, i found a 2.5" u bend and a good 3 feet of 2.5" piping out back from my fmic project. oh well.

march UDP and spacer have also just been shipped. mustangtuning is on backorder for 4.1's though for a few weeks.

and i just ordered the spintech 333scs mufflers for the side exhaust today. guy said they ship tomorrow, and being theyre in riverside(ca) they should be here by monday. ill prolly get them welded up and just put turndowns on them till i get the roush kit in and painted.

Re: how does this sound?(long modlist inside)

Demolet CAI installed. very nice piece i should say. its basically 2 4"(or at least it looks that wide) inner diameter black PVC plumbing Elbows, a huge filter, and a intake tube. but it works. you should hear how much more growl even the stock exhaust has. power improvement was noticeable, but not huge. what i gained up top feels like i lost some throttle response down low, but then again, i drove it hard 2 minutes after i reset the ecu, so im guessing its not fully learned everything yet.

75mm plenum is in but not installed, still waiting on the 75mm TB and plenum spacer. that should add a little more flow up top, free up some restriction. though cant wait till exhaust gets here.

Re: how does this sound?(long modlist inside)

sounds like its gettin together nicely... if id seen this earlier I would have suggested a JLT CAI, but densechargers are nice too. Also, as brandon said dont even bother with C&L... Ive heard nothin but problems about those pieces.

nope, MAC 75mm TB and plenum.

the inside is polished, though the exterior is still that cast look.

Re: how does this sound?(long modlist inside)

lol i got bored of the eclipse. i was at the point where going any further required a bigger turbo(AGP RS60T likely), and with that i needed a bigger fuel system(at least 720cc injectors, a 255lph pump and fuel pressure regulator), and with that amount of power theres no way the tranny wouldve liked it, so theres another ****load of money on a shep racing tranny, and it would have still been a ****ty fwd that cant launch and a gay convertible thats purple to boot.

plus since my girl moved to san diego, i needed something that i could count on to make long trips. the dsm didnt even like the hour and a half drive to the racetrack, it liked to blow alternators when im farthest from home, and with that car, a alt is no easy thing to change out. so i wanted to get a car with balls from the factory(so i didnt have to do much), but looks good and is pretty reliable. so i finally picked up the car i shouldve got in the first place. sadly the new owner of the eclipse will have either riced it out beyond recognition(he has a "shop" that does all his mad tyte installs) or will have totaled it, cause he couldnt grasp the formula "turbo+fwd=no traction x torquesteer" since his previous "whips" were a civic and celica. i cried when he drived away, knowing that i just sold that cars soul to the devil. no matter what he does to it, its ****ed. at least i took some badass last pics to remember her by when she was at her peak, nice little framed collage on my wall. i told him if he decides to sell it, to contact me first, id buy her back in a heartbeat, restore her to her original(before he got to her) condition and sell her to a home that will use her to her fullest potential.
