Re: dash removal

yes, im trying to paint the whole dash. I got black exterior and want the interior to match with realistic flames on the dash and door panels. Got everything out and done pretty much. Just gotta figure out how to get the dash and center console out. The exhaust and radio could take care of the rattle noise..haha So looking for help to take these 2 pcs out Thanks

Re: dash removal

The dash comes out somewhat easily, but it is very time consuming. I took mine out for a heater core replacement and even though Ford said it supposedly takes 8 hours to remove and reinstall the dash, it took me about 3 and a half. There are bolts on each side of the dash, but to explain it better, I'd pick up a Haynes repair manual and it will go through the process of removing it.

Re: dash removal

I got a convertible so I would hope that it could come out the car. Right now I got every piece out of it except for the dash. Been looking at the Haynes manual on it. Just sucks that the high is in the 20's here in Buffalo to work on it.

Re: dash removal

Like is stated above...there is no easy way to do it. Take your time and study how it comes out so you make sure it'll go back in as easily.
