Re: ignition switch

if you take apart your steering column and get to the ignition swith for key, use a test light to find the one that lights up when key turned to on position, then splice a wsitch into that wire, then you will still have to have key in ignition and the switch must be activate to complete circuit

Re: ignition switch

Someone previously did it to the 94 that I bought my wife. Unless the toggle is pushed to on, the car won't start. As soon as I can crawl under the dash and see, I will post what I find.

Re: ignition switch

It will probably be easier for you to remove the steering column shroud then dig around under the dash on your back.

You could interrupt the Ignition or Starter wire but make sure the switch you pick up can carry the amperage needed.

Just know that if a thief wants your car bad enough, he'll find a way to take it.

I'm fully aware. Beleive it or not this is to keep my family from driving it when they get in it they steal my cigarettes and I figure if they find out that i've done something so they can't start it they won't bother going into it anymore. (they only do that when they are in it they don't just go into it just for that reason)
