Next upgrade question

So it's that time again to throw in another upgrade on my Mustang. The ones I have been wanting to do are underdrive pulley's, 75mm throttle body, and a plenum. Problem is I will probably only have the money to do two of those three. My question is this, would I be wasting my money on a throttle body if I didn't upgrade the plenum at the same time??? I was considering the pulleys and throttle body but I don't want to do that if it wouldn't make any sense.

Re: Next upgrade question

Throttle body & pulleys would be my choice. Had them on one of my old cars, they where a good upgrade.

Re: Next upgrade question

the full intake/throttle body will pick you up some but just a throttle body wont do much, under drive pulleys are nice. I would just do pulleys for now if it was me.

Re: Next upgrade question

As I type this my Stang is in the shop getting underdrive pulleys and new dampeners installed!!! I decided to go with just that until I have enough money to do both the TB and plenum at the same time. I'm also considering headers, BUT, this is my daily driver vehicle and I keep reading posts about people having problem with or needing to do alot of upkeep with headers???

SO, as of now my Stang has a CAI, underdrive pulleys, 3.73 FR gears, Flowmaster catback w/H pipe, and a canned Diablo tune. Should that TB and Pl. be next or does anyone have a better suggestion???

Re: Next upgrade question

the only problem with putting headers on is the instalation you have to raist the motor up a few inches to get them. After that your good to go. If i were you I'd save up and either get some aftermarket heads or just cams or even better both and then when you put on your tb and plenum and all your other upgrades they will actually help alot more.

They are plastic "wire looms" go to ebay and type in blue wire looms or red or whatever. They have a cut down the side of them you slidethem over some random wires on the engine then put a zip tie on the end of them.

Re: Next upgrade question

Headers either get tuned shorties or long tubes and tb doesn't matter just get a low dollar one.
