Re: Which Mid Pipes To Go With????

most X's will give you a slight rasp...but not like a ricer. That's the difference between the X and H pipe.

I had the UPR X on my car with stingers until I swapped out headers. Was very happy with them. Now I have a generic H pipe for the new headers and it does sound a bit different.

Re: Which Mid Pipes To Go With????

I'm in favor of the H-pipe but the X will prob be the way to go. The UPR X will give you less popping than the Bassani or BBK X.

Re: Which Mid Pipes To Go With????

Since you have those extra two cylinders you really don't have to worry about sounding like a ricer...x-pipe or h-pipe, lol.

While I have no personal experience with them I would say if you want deep, go with an h-pipe, if you want a slight rasp as Purevenom said, go with an x-pipe.

Not sure where you live, but you might want to check for emissions regulations...some states require catalytic converters...so if you want to remain legal you'll need a catted h or x pipe. I personally would run an o/r pipe regardless of the law and say f**k the PO-LICE, but I'm an idiot like that

Well, technically, ALL states require them...however, only SOME states check for them. lol

And I too am an idiot like that as I have no cats.

if you wanna keep it deep keep the cats. it'll get louder if you lose em but it'll sound more aggressive.

just go with a UPR off-road X. they're cheap and get the job done.

PM John at NQSPerformance. They're a site sponsor and can probably help you out. He responds pretty quickly.
