Re: Rims & Tire???

If you're talking about the ones in the sig pic, those are the alternate option wheel to the bullitt rims that came on the GT's. They are the "bright wheel" option, which are basically 99/01 cobra rims.

I'd say 255/40/17 is the widest you could go on that rim. Since the stock rim is 8" wide, that would be the widest you could go to give you a nice curb buffer. That's just a guess.

I have 17x9's in the front and I have 275/40/17 tires right now.

This is correct, Tiff has the same wheels as a factory option on her 04. They are exactly the same as polished 99/01 Cobra wheels and look mighty good IMO.

You could squeeze a 265 width tire on those wheels without much problem, just remember, each manufacturer varies in width.

What kind of tires are you looking to put on that need to be wider?

Re: Rims & Tire???

sorry I was MIA over the weekend due to a show. Mine are True Forged Mach 5 rims. They are two piece polished rims 18x9 front 18x10 rear. You can contact Steve on trueforgedwheels.com and he will know my car or you can ask for the "04 Sleeper Style" I did not get the rivet bolts.

Polished is a ***** to have for a daily driver so I do not recommend it, they can do powdercoating, chrome, and just about anything else you want it just raises the price~

Mine were 2500 bucks and I had tires put on at the same time so save me mounting hassle.

Re: Rims & Tire???

you can go 275/40-17 on them but it will bulge a bit, but it is safe to drive on. i did that on my old stang for about 6 months, including track events.

if you do sell your rims and they are in good shape, you can get a good bit more for them than your run of the mill bullitts.

Re: Rims & Tire???

your wheels are 190 new (Wheels & Tires) or there about

I would try to get 125 each (if they are not curbed, if any of the rims are curbed that wheel drops in value of course) so say 500 for the set... not counting the tires, for that it depends on life of the tires~ if they have 25% tread left... then about another 75-100 bucks for example.
