tuner

I need a tuner because after like 9 monthes my check engine light come on for the o/r x pipe. I'm really not up for putting the stock mid pipe back on. Is it bad if I drive for a a week while its running lean.

Re: tuner

Go buy one from AM.com. It shouldn't hurt it.

Re: tuner

That's why you buy a new one, so you know what you're getting.

Re: tuner

Ok then. Do you want something someone else has used, or do you want to pay the extra 10 dollars and get a new one? Seems like I'd just get the new one.

Re: tuner

Yah I'd separate with the 10 bucks and get the new tuner...it's like gears, you can get away with used ones, but you're safer with new. Plus, you have to hope that the used one has been cleared from the previous car, or else it's of no use to you without spending more money to have it straightened out.

You could get a custom SCT from VMP Tuning or American Muscle, they both do custom tunes specifically for your car. I'd guess VMP would be the better choice for custom tunes.

Re: tuner

What I was getting at was that unless it's seriously jacked up or locked, you probably won't find one for cheaper than 300.
