Spark Plug Suggestions for a 96 Cobra with a Vortech V1

I was wanting to get opinions for spark plugs on my 96 Cobra with the Vortech V1-S Trim Supercharger. I know that Autolite makes the Motorcraft plug. The stock gap is .054, and the Vortech manual says to set the gap at .032 for off-road racing. The car is mostly street driven.

I've been experiencing some fuel shut-off around 5600-5800 rpm at WOT. I've tried adding the Lucas Fuel Stabilizer to this tank of gas. My serpentine belt needs to be replaced and I'm going to do that today. I've also noticed some detonation, hence the plug change. I was thinking I might need to change the fuel filter out because it's possible that I'm not getting enough fuel at the higher rpm. Any ideas?

The standard with the 03/04 cobras is to run an NGK TR6 plug, and some have even run a TR7 plug. You could start with the TR6 and see if that helps you out at all, or just jump to the TR7 right off the bat. The 7 is colder than 6.

be VERY careful with detonation, you cant take it with crappy stock internals. Make sure your car doesnt have to much timing for the level of fuel grade you are runing.

I use TR6 plus in mine and I had detonation that turned out to be (hopefully) bad gas related. Put some lucas octane booster in it with a half tank of 93 see how that works~

Another vote for NGK TR6 plugs. I'd start the gap around .032 and move up from there.

yea, the iridium you can gap higher (.38 or so) but go copper for now see if it helps as they are MUCH cheaper.
