Safe HP for Mach 1

Does anyone know what a safe horsepower rating would be for a 03-04 Mach 1? I will have the forged crank because its a manual, but I dont think that is the weakest link in the chain. Thanks for the help ~Mike.

Re: Safe HP for Mach 1

generally 450~rwhp would be the limit with a good tune (re-read that GOOD tune) a bad tune can blow the car up at stock levels lol.

Those numbers are for a 3v GT 4.6L and you having a forged crank might be a little safter but the crappy pistons... and higher compression... yea I would say 450 rwhp would be my stopping point.

Re: Safe HP for Mach 1

Just had a friend put a ProCharger on his Mach and he is running her right at 459 to the wheels without a problem. Hope that helps.
