Brake problems

I just installed front pads and rotors now the passenger side front sticks. They work fine until you step on them hard then it will stick. Both pistons slide in freely and the slides are in good working order. I took it apart 5 times and can't find the problem I'm using Hawk HPS pads with Brembo cross drilled rotors. Need help before the car goes on craigslist!

Re: Brake problems

Have you tried dielectric grease on the caliper slide pins?

The pistons may slide freely on first attempt, but how do the bores look? I'd be willing to bet there's corrosion and a 'ridge' built up inside the bore or on the piston.. Does your car have ABS? It could even be a sticking valve in the actuator not allowing pressure to release after ABS activates (easiest way to check this would be pull the ABS fuse, go stop hard - without wrecking of course - and without having ABS kick in, and see if the caliper still sticks)

Re: Brake problems

Should both pistons in the caliper move the same amount with no resistance? The piston closest to the brake line goes out twice as far.
