ok does anyone know the conversion for every 100lbs you take off its suppossed to get somethign off yoru quarter mile time? anyone heard this. i understand the power to weight ratio stuff im only curious what its supposed to be.
has anyone ever thought of stripping their car out? please give me some thoughts
I wouldn't do it on a car you drive everyday, but if I were building a racecar I would defenetly strip out the interia. On a street car you would be giving up a lot of conveniences, it also sounds like something someone with a Civic would do. You might think about putting a "REAR SEAT DELETE KIT" in your car I've read that they save about40 to 50 pounds, I've seen them on EBAY for about $100.
120lbs = 0.1 tenths~ there about. Also for every 1lb of rotating mass you remove thats equal to 10lbs of dead weight, shave 10lbs from say your rims... thats like droping 100lbs off your car Its not an exact science~ just an guestimate.
