Re: How to tell what gears you have...?
lemme re-word that, i know what you were trying to say and even i was confused.
make a mark ad the driveshaft and conjoining flange. mark top of tire. rotate tire and observe how many times the mark on the driveshaft hits the mark on the flange per one full rotation of the tire. its great for whole numbers, but to do actuals, its a little tricky. 3.23's would be 3 full rotations witht he mark resting 1/4 of a rotation after hitting the 3rd rotation. 3.55's would be 3 full rotations and the mark resting halfway through a full rotation. 3.73's would be 3 full rotations with the mark resting 3/4 through a full rotation. and so on and so forth.
or no matter what, you can always get some 4.1's and slap them in there and know what you have without all the brainwork.
also into, auto/manual and what rpms' do you tach doing 80 would be the easiest way.
