Question Sponsor's???

I'm currently in NC but am going to be moving down to TX. I was thinking about getting my car sponsored so i can do more upgrades and compete in shows but i don't know too much about the whole sponsorship program. I've read some stuff on carsponsors.com Anyone know any good sponsors or info on getting started?? Thanks.

Re: Sponsor's???

You get sponsors once your car is heavily modded and you make it out to alot of shows or races.

Re: Sponsor's???

most are scams.

the only true sponsors are if you work for a shop. then again, if you ever leave that shop, they strip your car.

besides, its YOUR car. dont YOU want to know YOUR hard earned money went into buying YOUR parts for YOUR car? i wouldnt want someone elses parts or loaner parts on my car, i want my parts on my car, and i want the ones i pick out that i know work best, not because some ricer company pays to get their useless **** out on the market.

Re: Sponsor's???

I used to be sponsored by Weston Ranch Apartments, but that one ended about a week ago, now I am working on getting sponsored by Target's Distribution Center.

I'm sponsored by L-3 Integrated Systems and www.hotnakedguys.com.

PS. You might not want to click that link.

Re: Sponsor's???

you could always own your own shop and get the parts at wholesale and then do a tax write off for advertisement costs, just an option

Re: Sponsor's???

Thanks for all the help guys! I'm just doing alot of mods to it myself right now. I always say it takes time and money. Most people i know either have one or the other. I'm just taking my time with it and enjoying the work i put into it. I will have to look into those sponsor's that a few of you mentioned but then again the others that don't have sponsors are right about knowing and choosing what you put into it matters more.
