Re: what should i get?

id say gears or a catless H/X pipe(since youre in maine). cant do much under 200$. maybe some underdrives or an intake. you can get a tb/plenum combo used for that much if you look hard enough.

you could get 100$ in car care **** and detail the car for him.

Re: what should i get?

full length subframe connectors for around $120 and possibly $80-100 for install. it's not a horsepower mod but it helps get the power to the wheels.

Re: what should i get?

i thought subframes just help stiffen up the chassis for handling purposes and convertibles :dunno:

That's all they do. It just reduces body flex, which can be beneficial if you have a torque monster, but even on a stock car they do make the car feel better. Subframes though are like exhaust piping. I don't see a point in buying a set of name brand steel bars. Any good speed shop should be able to fab them AND weld them up in no time for a lot less than paying for a name set and THEN paying for the install on top of that.

Re: what should i get?

I have steeda midlength monochromy subframes, put them on before doing any other suspension, and I must say, it made a big difference.
