need help removing my oil pan! - Mustang Evolution

need help removing my oil pan!

what is the best way to go about removing the oil pan. My manual said to use a hoist if that is the best way to go how high do i need to hoist the engine out?? any and all suggestions will be appreciated. thanks

you dont have to take the engine out jack it up till its clear

ditto, just keep jacking until it clears, you may only need to remove 1 motor mount bolt, you just need to jack then look, it would be nice if you can get someone to jack it slowly while your under checking out the situation.

I would support the engine where it currently sits and drop the k-member. Better access IMO.

Thanks for all your replies sorry I haven't been on in a while but it went smooth as can be. New oil pan is installed and my car is running great. Thanks again for all the advice.

i loosened one motor mount and got dad to jack it up while i watched lol it was actually pretty easy alot easier than i expected lol. Thanks again
