Talking Window Control Panel in Door - Dropping/Moving

Hi guys -

Having a problem with my driver's side door in my 2004 V6 'Stang...the actual control panel in the door appears to be falling/sliding down, and has (over the last couple of months) slid almost completely down...taking off the panel it's apparent is isn't attached now to the plastic panel in any way, I see clips but not sure how it goes back, anyone ever had to reattach these before or had a similar issue?

Thanks in advance!

T

a picture might help with your description. I had to replace the window regulator and motor in the GT.

Re: Window Control Panel in Door - Dropping/Moving

gotcha... it screws into the door bezel. The screws have pretty aggressive threads as well (not fine ones like you'd find for metal). If you can't find the screws, check in the door for them or just go pick some more up. Make sure you don't get them too long as they'll easily puncture the door bezel.

not a problem... you may want to check the back of the bezel to make sure it isn't stripped out. If it is, you'll need a new bezel, some over sized screws or something in the bezel to assist
