Re: clutch?

youll know its a slipping clutch when youre at the bottom of 3rd and go WOT and the engine winds out and the car goes nowhere.

it *could* be on its way out, not being able to engage as crisp as it did before.

Re: clutch?

i have a 100,000 mile warranty on the stang but theyll probably wait till its worn out to replace it, still the deductible is 100$. would i be better off buying a new one, if so whats a good brand.

Re: clutch?

Mileage does not mean anything really. i destroyed a spec stage 2 after 3100 miles abuse is the determining factor in clutch life.

Re: clutch?

yea if you abuse it, its not installed right, or there is to much tension on the cable then you can run into issues.

Re: clutch?

I like the McLeod 800 series in a street car that is powerful or driven hard. Pedal effort is similar to, but a little lighter than the Ford King Cobra, but durability is awesome with the McLeod.
