which new mod?

I'm stuck on what mod to get. I already have exhaust and underdrive pulleys and I'm getting a CIA but I don't know if i should get a throttle body with it or something else. Any ideas?

most of the time throttle bodies dont do much, you can do one with an upper intakes like from dragon it would help a bit, is it an auto? if so a tune will help a ton

It's a manual, would different fuel rails help at all or am i better off spending my money on something else?

With the CAI I'd get a good tune for more performance and then maybe change gear ratio to 3.73. Or get the throttle body and bigger MAF with bigger injectors.

Re: which new mod?

You car does not need bigger injectors.

Best bang for the buck would be gears and a tune. Throttle body alone would net almost nothing. Ad a plenum to that and you might pick up 5 horsepower. Definitely don't need fuel rails.

Re: which new mod?

For the money spent on fuel rails or a new throttle body/plenum, you could get a set of gears thrown in and "feel" more gains. The taller gears will provide better power throughout the powerband, making launches and low end acceleration much better.

Keep in mind that you'll need a tuner to adjust the speedometer for the gear changes. You can also add your other bolt on mods like exhaust, CAI, and udp's to the tune to make them more effective.

Gears are ~$150, install is $300-500, and a handheld tuner with CUSTOM tunes from VMP or American Muscle is ~$400.

Re: which new mod?

You would only gain from having larger fuel rails or a bigger throttle body if you're running any kind of forced induction. Listen to these guys on the 3.73 gears, underdrive pulleys, and tuning. They know what they are talking about.

Re: which new mod?

The only reason I mentioned bigger injectors is if you do put a bigger throttle body and MAF you will gain some HP but then you won't be satisfied, then you can procharge/supercharge/turbo it and be set up for major HP

Injectors would benefit you --- NONE. The stock injectors would not be maxed out at full flow therefore getting new injectors would serve no purpose unless you needed additional fuel the stock injectors could not provide. It would be great to reduce strain by having a less % of flow in the injectors.

Re: which new mod?

Then why do the supercharged Cobra's have bigger injectors than a stock gt? If they didn't need them then why did they install them?

Because there was an actual need for additional fuel as there is a **** ton more air compressed into the combustion chamber? I'm trying to be clear here. His car has no need for additional fuel support unless he starts approaching the limits of the injectors. I'm sure those injectors will support close to 400 hp within a good tune.

My stock 39lb injectors had enough juice left in them to go from 8psi to 14psi so they could have went lower on the stock cobra, thankfully they didnt.
