Bolt removal

I was removing my passanger side seat to clean the carpet in my car and the bolt that holds the track to the floor snapped. Whats the best way to get the rest of the bolt out of the floorpan so that I can replace it?

Re: Bolt removal

the bolt goes down through the bottom of the car. I would just try to back it out without messing up the threads. Put some penetration type spray on it and let it sit for a bit and try to back it out.

Re: Bolt removal

spray it down like said if you can't get to it with locking plires. that a smaller socket & beat it on the snapped off bolt. A 12 point socket works best

Re: Bolt removal

If you have the car where you can get to it, try using a chisel and hammer to get it started. use some knocker-loose first.
