Looking to buy a 2003 mustang gt

They are selling me a black 2003 mustang gt for $1,000 dollars but they told me all the wiring was burnt and some small things but the motor is still in good condition. Its 30 miles from my house. Do you guys suggest me even to go check it out? Or would it be too much of a hassle to fix it? and what should i look for if i do go?

i think it depends on how much ur looking to spend to fix it...if they say all is good with it besides the wiring (which is doubtful) then..u could atleast go and look at it...

the big question is what caused it to burn up, keep in mind aslo that replacing a wireing harness is a big pain in the butt! but there are guys willing to do it, I would expect you to pay around 2 grand getting it all put back togather when its all said and done.

if you hire someone to do it, I would just find a harness first and get the computer checked.

Re: Looking to buy a 2003 mustang gt

If you have the time to find all the wiring then go for it it will probably cost you about 2500 possibly more it depends how much wiring, if the wiring is burnt then probably the ECU, alternator and other eletrical components are probably fried and you have to make sure the motor ACTUALLY works not just because they tell you it does. like spectorv says make sure it isn't stolen. Oh and find out why the wiring burnt there might be a major malfunction witht the car
