Engine Help!!

Alright so saturday night my motor blew in my 99 gt. The motor is not worth saving, I was jsut wanting to know if a 98 gt motor will bolt up right

98 GT motor would not be the easiest choice for a swap.. 99-2004 would be a direct drop-in, the 96-98 4.6s had several differences. Main one being the PI heads/intake ... I'd suggest continue looking..

So what did you do to blow the motor up in your GT?

not real sure havnt gotten into it alot yet but ive been told its due to a 17 year old boys lead foor but thats just my dad talking

Hahaha it should take more than a lead foot to blow a 4.6.. Perhaps a lead foot and an accidental downshift to first when trying to hit third at wide open throttle?

But best of luck.. Again look around for 99-04 as it would be the easiest replacement for your car.

nope she blew at around 3k in 4th gear.. and i decided im just going to buy a remaned engine..any suggestions of a good company? there are thousands out there

I know my buddy's shop uses PSengines.com They always seem to be pretty good with no problems.

Wiring, ECU, Transmission (atleast the bellhousing, not sure about the others), and others, I'm sure.

What exactly do I need for a 4.6-5.4 swap i have looked around and no one can give a exact answer they just start talking about other stuff.. Would be great if anyone knows about a step by step guide for this swap
