Ford mustang gt cobra?

So i would really loveee to put a cobra engine in my gt. I know ppl tell me it might be cheaper too buy a cobra but i just want too rebuild this car i have. How much would it cost parts and labor too install a cobra engine in my 97 gt?

the cost is going to vary. depends on which cobra engine you want to install in there first of all. also depends on where you get the engine, and where you get your parts. it won't be cheap though.

Yah I'd say it'd be more of a hassle to overhaul your car like that. But if you really want to I'm sure you could find a 96-98 cobra 4v engine and drop it in...you'll probably need the ecu, wiring, as well as additional support modifications for it to work. I would definitely say that after parts and labor (assuming you'd have it done professionaly) you would spend more on a complete cobra install than the car (97 GT) is probably worth.
