Re: 4.6 Exhaust Questions

Definately, Flows were a good choice for me, Super 40's. A good after market X-pipe also. But remember to get a couple of mil eliminators or some spark plug adapters to keep the check engine lamp off. But, beware if this is done make sure where you get it inspected they don't put your car on a lift. If they do you may be getting a fine or even will be ordered to remove your improvements.

I really like the sound of the loudmouth 1's with an O/r H-pipe.

Thanks. It's definitely loud and raspy. It's got that old muscle car type sound.

Re: 4.6 Exhaust Questions

lets see im probably out here on my own with my setup, and I would guess to venture a ton of people are going to give their opinion of it lol...

I am straight piped all the way through, o/r xpipe, into straight pipes out... we tested a few ways to get it to the right sound I wanted... the problem was as soon as we did stock piping size first gear into a second gear shift had the worlds LOUDEST backpressure rasp, and it was just annoying... so we tested different lengths and settled on 10 inches of a 2.5 inch into 3 inch back into 2.5 inch piping and it calmed the **** out of it... best part is.. when sitting under 2k... 2.5k rpm's its almost stocker quiet... but when you go i have yet to hear a louder setup than what I have... my neighbor (vette owner) came over and said that when we wot'd past his house I managed to set off his car alarm in the garage thats when I knew I was set haha.
