Hood decal

I have a hood decal, and I want to know if I can install it using Griot's Garage speed shine instead of soapy water

Will do in the morning, btw I have a silver mustang, do you think a black spoiler would look good on it? I already have a honeycomb decklid panel.

Re: Hood decal

hard to say...i think if you have a lot of black accents it'll work. i know someone with a copper colored stang (aftermarket paint) and we painted his wing black...looked pretty good with the black taillights

Re: Hood decal

I would probably stick with soapy water per directions due to it may dry and leave the sticker more flag with no residue that may hurt the paint down the line.

I've found that glass cleaner, such as Windex, worked better than soapy water.

Try using your fingernails if thats doesn't work i always use a Razor-blade (be very careful not to scratch the paint) any left over residue will come off with a rag and lighter fluid, lacquer thinner will work better on tough stuff just make sure you rinse it all off when your done
I've used this method on mine and several of my friends cars(about 6 total) they all look good

It came off perfectly, I sort of pushed it off rather than scratched it off.
