Re: Re doing heads

u will be at 4300 by the time u pay taxes and wutever else. u may wanna get a second opinion, and pin them down with a written estimate and work to be completed..preferably itemized. so the price doesnt keep climb'n. not to mention..when the price keeps change'n, that tells me they never workd on cobra heads before..or cobras period for that matter. if they had done the work before they woulda knew wut to quote u off the back.

Re: Re doing heads

wow!! where do you guys stay? we had a 01 cobra in our shop and to redo the heads at our other shop was 250 per head and the labor charge was 800 bucks. that was for us to take off the heads, replace all gaskets and oil change, and put them back on. 4300 is alot.

Re: Re doing heads

Sounds like for that price you could have gotten some NEW heads and just reinstalled them yourself, and had a few bucks in your pocket to spare. That's a hellava lot of money for a job like that!

Re: Re doing heads

MMR will take your heads and give them a complete port job for $900...not sure what else you need done with your heads, but if porting is that cheap, your price is way up there. Hell, you could buy a pair of complete 03/04 cobra heads for 1/3 of that cost.
