Rear end gear swap

With gears from an 06 fit in a 98? Both are GT

If you are meaning the whole rear end then yes it will but its like 3/4 of an inch wider. If you mean just the gears then yes but its better to buy new ones because all rearends are made a little different and shimmed different which means when those gears are installed they wear their own pattern and when you install them in a different rear end they usually make a whining sound unless installed perfectly.

the gears should work unless they messed around with something in the later years, I wouldnt put used gears in my car though~

That's the difference of some one that knows how to set up a rear end or doesnt tho right? Used gears or not it's all in the set up if I'm not mistaken.
