Re: Trying to make an informed decision...

Ok, I missed this one and I agree with everything these guys said. Not good for a DD, that clutch and those gears WILL get old after a while. That is a car made to be a weekend warrior plain and simple. Go with something a little milder for a DD.
Guarantee its been ran to ***** as well. You don't have a car with that much done to it and not run the hell out of it. I ran the wheels off my '85 because it was BUILT. Had to make sure everyone knew it was a beast!!

Do you want a built car or stock?

Even something with some mild mods would be good for him I'd say!

Find a stock one so you can pick and chose your mods and you start with a solid base. Not someone else's unfinished or broken project

That's what I like to do as well, plus if it's stock you know that if it has been run hard, it has only been run hard in stock form!

Stock or modified, it doesn't matter. Stock I'd work it into what I want, built I'd alter it. But a stock look with mild internal engine mods and slight drivetrain tweaks like lockers and gears would just make it easier for me. Lol.

But something that sounds good. I can't explain what deep throaty exhaust notes does to my head.. But it's purely music.

Oh.. And I learned stick by driving an autocross nismo 350z with about 465rwhp and a stage 4 race clutch. So I'm not used to comfort and it's not what I'm looking for. Lol

Good point.... Unless you run her hard low on oil there isn't a whole lot of damage you can do to it....

You would pay a lot more for that here since stangs are very popular here! I have a 99 v6 I gave 7k for! That's a great deal it sounds to me!

With a stage 4 clutch I would be lucky to drive it in traffic. I would have to let the cars ahead of me get a good head start because I would be up on em in a hurry... My winter Dd is a 4 inch lifted chevy. My mustang is my summer Dd.... I have the best of both worlds

Just be patient man. You still never said what you are looking for. Do you want built. Slightly built. Mostly stock? I haven't had a day off yet but I know people that know people. Told you that mustang people stick together. That's why you don't see many built cars for sale. They sell to other mustang guys.

I'd like to have one modified in terms of gears and maybe a couple engine mods. Preferably year models between 2001 and 2004. I'm gonna try to get in touch with some people at stanghi and such.. Just been a bit busy. Haha

My buddy has got this one at his place. Only one he's got right now. Pretty clean though. Don't know anything about it, should be mostly stock. Call and leave a message he should get back with you if you like it.
