Which spark plugs do you run?

I'm changing the plugs in my car. It had Bosch fusion's in it when I bought it and I'm changing them with NGK TR55ix iridium plugs. What plugs do you run?

OEM plugs will work just as good as any, I am currently runing TR6-IX due to my OEM are Iridium and I needed a diff heat range.

Re: Which spark plugs do you run?

For a close to stock GT run autolites and be done with it, you're just throwing away money otherwise.

In the cobra I run NGK TR6 coppers. Change them every 6 months like clockwork.

I put my NGK's today. Granted the Bosch plugs that were in it was old, but my car is a lot smoother idling now than it was before. 2 thumbs up for NGK

E3.54 for me I read all their research and even watched a speed channel special with before and after dynos on e3 plugs and decided they were best choice for me

But the debate is still continuing on which plugs are best
But I'm happy so far had em for a while

Re: Which spark plugs do you run?

I'm simply wondering when people will realize manufacturers recommend a certain product because that is the exact product they designed for that specific application.

Everything else that is sold out there is a money-making tool for someone else.

There is no need for a double-platinum 5 tipped plug, but I'm sure it will be out there soon.

I'll state my case again.

I run a TR6 in the cobra. It's a single fire, copper based, normal plug. It gives me over 500 hp to the wheels in a supercharged application.

If it will work in that car there is no reason a normal copper plug won't work in your application.

With that said, keep wasting your money on plugs, gas, and additives your car doesn't need. I'll keep the money in my pocket.

Re: Which spark plugs do you run?

If you don't have a specific need for different plugs then you need to run OEM or Autozone Autolite OEM replacements.
